Meet The 2025-2026 PTA Board

Trisha Johnston

Co-President

I am a proud mother of one adorable son (Grade 3) and a devoted aunt to my wonderful niece (Grade 4) and nephew (K). I loved my career as a Software Developer for over a decade but my ultimate goal was always to be a stay-at-home mom so that I could be involved in my son's educational experience as much as possible. My mother set a great example for me growing up by being super active in the PTA and attending or leading all my school events and I couldn't wait to follow in her footsteps. It means even more to me being a part of the Elwood community as I attended Harley, Boyd, EMS and graduated from John Glenn HS. It's a huge honor to be back walking the halls as a parent/aunt this time around! Being a part of the PTA has allowed me to get to know so many students, faculty and parents over the years and I love being a familiar face to students at all the school events. I am so excited to be part of the Boyd PTA board to enhance the educational experience for all of our current and future students.

Gloria Klesaris

Co-President

Gloria, a former rock whispering geologist turned turbo-charged Earth Science Teacher guru, is a powerhouse of wisdom when it comes to school antics and teaming up with teachers to supercharge student adventures. Juggling three mini-humans - Bradley (8), Alicia (5), and Claudia (4) - Gloria dives into the PTA scene to keep her school mojo alive. Seeing school life through a teacher's eyes, she knows the PTA is the secret sauce for boosting education vibes. Beyond the brain gains, Gloria's PTA journey has sparked epic friendships with other PTA members. She's the cheerleader for all parents to jump into the volunteering pool, even if it's just dipping a pinkie toe into one committee. Every bit counts, and it's a high-five fest all around when more parents get involved.

Catalina Rincon

Co-Vice President

Catalina is diving into her second term on the Boyd PTA board, and we're over the moon to have this dynamo on the team! With her daughter Emma leveling up to 7th grade at the Elwood Middle School and her son Isaac kicking off 4th grade at Boyd, Catalina's got the inside scoop on all things school-related. Her out-of-the-box ideas for jazzing up our PTA shindigs are pure gold. And let's not forget her crafty genius - those personalized goodies are a hit at our events, making memories that stick. Cheering on Emma and Isaac at the ice rink, Catalina's boundless support and passion shine through, making her a perfect fit for our squad. Ready to roll up her sleeves and make magic happen, we can't wait to soak up her fresh ideas and bold concepts. Her dedication to family and community vibes perfectly with our PTA spirit. Brace yourselves for Catalina's amazing impact - we just know she's about to sprinkle some serious magic dust on our school community.

Jessica Ethier

As a busy stay-at-home mom of two amazing kids, Sutter, 9, and Raymond, 6, I am excited for Sutter to enter 4th grade at Boyd Intermediate School, and for Raymond to start 1st grade at Harley Avenue. When my husband and I moved to the neighborhood in 2014, we were unfamiliar with the Elwood School District. However, after my daughter’s first year at Harley, I knew we had made the right choice to move to Elwood. We loved the close-knit atmosphere of the school district and now look forward to Sutter furthering her education at Boyd. When I was a kid, my mother was involved in the PTA, and I have many fond memories of her being in class or at events. I wanted the same memories for my children. I wasn’t sure where to start, so I became a class parent. I enjoyed that role so much that I joined committees and soon after began to chair events. As I enter my second year as Co-Vice President, I am excited about the activities and events in the upcoming school year. Joining the PTA is a great way to participate and help ensure that all our kids have an outstanding school experience.

Roshi Arvand

Treasurer

Roshi is our enthusiastic PTA treasurer. As a commercial real estate portfolio manager, Roshi brings a wealth of professional experience and a love for numbers (and spreadsheets) to the table. With a fabulous 5th grade daughter who keeps life exciting, Roshi is ready to bring that same vibrant energy to our school community. Outside of work, Roshi loves to cook and host parties for her “Big Fat Persian family”, and has an extremely soft spot for the 1990s (which still feel like they were just 10 years ago). From grunge rock to classical, Roshi has a wide-ranging love for music that keeps life vibrant. Together with the other amazing Boyd PTA board members, let’s make this a fantastic year filled with fun, collaboration and memorable moments for our students, teachers, and families!

Cindy Maruca

I’m Cindy, a full-time work-from-home design pro in the home furnishing world and proud mom of Zane, who’s heading into 4th grade. My husband, Anthony, and I love watching Zane grow and thrive with his friends. I joined the PTA to help create a fun, supportive school community for all kids. I enjoy planning activities and events, and I’m passionate about making positive changes that benefit the school and our community. I’m excited to work with other parents and staff to make this a year where every child feels supported, included, and ready to shine.

My name is Jennifer; this is my first year on the Boyd PTA. I am a stay-at-home mom to my two girls Harper (9) and Scarlett (7). Since Harper started kindergarten, I have wanted to become more involved as I missed having a work drive as I used to be the Director of after sales service for Tiffany & Co. I feel as my girls are getting older being a part of these special grade level years is so important to me. I am hoping to provide a fresh input to ensure all our children have an amazing school year, filled with growth and special memories.
